Hypnosis is a completely natural state of mind that we all drift in and out of every day of our lives as we fall asleep and wake. It is a period of deep refreshing relaxation.

During therapy, the client is lead by the therapist into a hypnotic trance like state.

Once in trance the conscious mind is relaxed, and the much more powerful subconscious mind takes over. You go from seeing the big picture down to seeing the smaller components of the big picture. This allows the subconscious mind to deal with any problematic areas that it is presented with.

Often emotional problems, fears, and phobias are caused by repressed memories after a traumatic incident. By taking a client into trance, they are able to see these things in a new light, look for, and find solutions to their problems from within themselves using resources that they already possess.
